MPM-Winter

I planned out a meal plan last week and it worked out amazingly well. I also found out that I need to do it on a regular basis. I love the feeling of coming home knowing that there is a plan already established, I just need to follow through.

So on to this week, it promises to start off busy and crazy but will slow down to a nice, slow paced Easter weekend and spring break with no school the entire first week of April.

Sunday- crock pot chili.

Monday- Steak and TBA

Tuesday- Burgers with these homemade buns from Pennies and Pancakes.

Wednesday- Chili Mac-using up the left over chili form Sunday night.

Thursday – Taco Pie which is almost like The Country cook’s Taco bake, but I add fried beans in to the meat mixture, to add a bit of fiber and stretch the meat a bit.

Friday is always homemade pizza and family movie night.

Saturday might be wing night or we may go out.

Sunday is Easter at Grandma’s house. We usually bring the breads.

New this week, I am going to step up my meal planning  by also noting the preparations I need to do the day before. I am thinking I will print this out and hang it on the fridge so I have it in front of me.  I am not admitting I am forgetful by the way.

Monday, I need to make burger buns.

Tuesday I need to make garlic bread.Wednesday, I need to make fried beans.

Thursday I will make up pizza dough.

Friday will be spent making yummy bread for the celebration of the Lord’s rising on Easter.

And there we go my entire week is all planned out! Using up the food I have here. I will only be shopping for milk and fresh produce this week. Gotta love it! For more yummy meal ideas go to Orgjunkie.com.
